Please check back often for updates:

MAS has released an update to the MAS Trips App (updated November 22, 2024)

Devices set accordingly will update automatically. For devices with Automated Updates set to “no”, the driver will want to navigate to the app store and initiate the update.

MAS Driver App Authentication (updated November 13, 2024)

Drivers using the MAS Drivers App will be required to enter an authentication code once every 30 days upon logging in. The code will be texted to the phone number found in the Driver’s profile in the MAS portal. Providers should verify all phone numbers.

Same and Next Day Trips (updated November 8, 2024)

Within your Capacity page, you indicate whether you accept same and next calendar day trips. Providers should turn off one or both when they have reached capacity. Also consider turning off both at the end of your business day and back on when you next return to work. Changing this immediately updates our system and helps decrease trip reassignments.

Important attestation/claims processing information: Deviating from trip authorization (updated December 13, 2024)

As referenced in the documents emailed on 5.31.2024, 7.24.2024, 10.21.2024, and 12.12.2024, Transportation Providers are authorized to transport an enrollee only on the approved date and time of service, at the approved modality, and to and from the addresses as prior authorized on the MAS invoice. Any changes must be communicated to MAS prior to the transport, by the enrollee or medical provider.

Deviations from the approved pick-up and drop-off locations are reportable to government enforcement agencies and may not be attestable in the future. Remind your staff that they are not to make any adjustments to times or locations, unless it is first updated on the MAS trip invoice.

MAS Trips APP (updated October 18, 2024)

If you are experiencing an issue with incomplete GPS milestones using the MAS Trips app, please ask your driver(s) to open the app and let it run for five minutes. The app will automatically check for any captured but unsent GPS data and forward it to the MAS System.

Please note that the process to mark a trip complete with GPS milestones runs overnight. If your driver(s) follows the process listed here, the soonest the trip with be attestable is the next day.

We are sorry you are experiencing difficulty with the MAS Trips app. Please log on to the app and do the following:

  • Log on to the app and click the small white circle at the top of the app screen. This will take you to ‘Settings’
  • In ‘Settings’ turn off the ‘Automatic Mode’ by sliding the slider to ‘Off’
  • This action will put your app into ‘Manual’ Mode where the driver will have complete control over starting and stopping the app. There will no longer be a circle with an arrow on the screen showing the pick-up or drop off location that tells the driver to start or stop the app.

Clearing App Data & Cache: (added August 29, 2024)

  1. On Android it’s under Settings > Apps > MASTrips, Clear App Cache and Clear App data.
  2. On iPhone, you need to uninstall the app – not from the home screen, you need to go into iPhone settings > Apps > MasTrips > delete app in order to erase application data.
  3. Then Uninstall and reinstall the app.

Phone Settings:

  1. Make sure the phone is not on battery saver or low power mode.
  2. Make sure your location permissions are set to the highest level + precise location is on.
  3. Make sure notification permissions are set to Enabled for the app.

Availability to Attest and Export to eMedNY- Timing update (updated June 27, 2024)

As of July 12, 2024, attestation for trips will be available as of 7am the following day. Therefore, trips completed on July 13th would be available for attestation at 7am on July 14th. The MAS system will continue to export attested trips to eMedNY and will do so daily at 3pm.

TPI’s submitting attestations through the API should do so in batches. To avoid failures, batches should not exceed 100 invoices. API Documentation found within the MAS portal has been updated to reflect these time changes and outlines the details on batched attestations. TPIs have been notified of these updates as well.

Important: Driver Profiles (updated May 22, 2024)

Please be advised of an update to the Driver section of the Transportation Provider Dashboard. Upon review of your driver profiles, you will see that each profile has a Credentialing Profile Status. Please review all active driver records, to be sure they have a Green Checkmark ✔, indicating that their profile has been completed. In the event the driver record lists a Red X, you will need to complete the driver record, including the social security number and date of birth. Note: You can use the Filter By feature and select Active and Profile Incomplete to display only driver profiles that need to be updated. If you have additional questions, please contact your TP Relations Team.
